Share
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Monique Abeels, shareholder and long-standing managing director of our company, on November 20, 2025, at the age of 69.

For many years, Monique Abeels was a guiding force at BEKO TECHNOLOGIES. Initially alongside her husband and company founder, Berthold Koch, and, following his sudden death in 2007, as an active member of the management board until 2015. She then continued to lead the family holding together with her three children.

In July 2010, she established the Berthold Koch Foundation Fund, thereby placing the company’s traditional commitment to social responsibility on a broader societal foundation. Under the umbrella of the Neuss Community Foundation (“Bürgerstiftung Neuss”), the fund continues to support projects in the fields of education, child and youth protection, and violence prevention, as well as the work of local associations and organizations in addressing important social challenges.

Monique Abeels was a personality who left a lasting mark on our company and on many people. She was known for her humanity, her foresight, and her unwavering connection to BEKO TECHNOLOGIES. With determination and social commitment, she actively shaped the company’s global orientation. Her sense of responsibility and her deep appreciation for all employees remain firmly anchored in our corporate culture to this day.

In her spirit, BEKO TECHNOLOGIES will continue its path as an independent family-owned company, guided by responsibility and vision.
