Intelligent dual-tower drying for consistent air quality and process reliability

How the DRYPOINT ACM works

The DRYPOINT® ACM 410–495 dries compressed air reliably and efficiently through alternating operation of two adsorption vessels. Moist air first passes through the CLEARPOINT® pre-filter and BEKOMAT® condensate drain before entering the drying chamber, where the desiccant removes moisture down to the specified pressure dew point. The treated air then leaves the system as clean, dry process air.

While one vessel dries, the other is automatically regenerated using a partial flow of already dried air in counterflow. Switching takes place cyclically or, optionally, according to the actual dew point. Even during a power failure, the system remains passable – ensuring continuous operation and maximum process reliability.

System visibility

Intelligent control for maximum operational transparency

The integrated DP-ACM control system enables intuitive monitoring and operation of key functions, including operating mode, timer control, dew point control, and status, warning, and alarm messages.

The clear display provides all essential operating information at a glance, enabling quick assessment of system status.

Robustly integrated into the dryer design, the DP-ACM control system can optionally be equipped with communication interfaces such as Modbus for seamless integration into higher-level control and monitoring systems.

Common questions about the DRYPOINT ACM adsorption dryer

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

What is the DRYPOINT ACM adsorption dryer designed for?

The DRYPOINT ACM adsorption dryer is designed for reliable compressed-air drying in industrial applications requiring very low pressure dew points and compact system integration. Its modular design makes it particularly suitable for OEM compressor packages and machine builders who need an efficient drying solution with minimal installation space.

Which pressure dew points can the DRYPOINT ACM achieve?

The DRYPOINT ACM can reliably achieve pressure dew points down to −40 °C, ensuring extremely dry compressed air even under demanding operating conditions. This level of dryness prevents condensation, corrosion and product contamination in sensitive production environments.

What makes the DRYPOINT ACM suitable for OEM integration?

The DRYPOINT ACM was specifically developed for easy integration into compressor systems and industrial machinery. Key advantages include:

  • Compact footprint for skid or package installation
  • Flexible connection options
  • Reliable operation with oil-free compressors
  • Simple control integration

This makes it an ideal drying solution for compressor manufacturers and system integrators.

How energy-efficient is the DRYPOINT ACM?

Energy efficiency is achieved through optimized regeneration control and efficient air management. The design minimizes compressed-air losses during regeneration and ensures stable drying performance with low operating costs.

Which industries typically use the DRYPOINT ACM?

The DRYPOINT ACM is used in industries where high compressed-air quality and reliable drying are critical, including:

  • food and beverage production
  • pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • electronics and semiconductor production
  • chemical processing
  • machine building and OEM compressor systems
How compact is the DRYPOINT ACM installation?

The DRYPOINT ACM is designed with a space-saving layout, allowing installation directly within compressor packages, skids or production systems. Its compact design simplifies installation where space in compressed air stations is limited.

How is the DRYPOINT ACM maintained?

Maintenance requirements are low and typically include:

  • periodic inspection of the drying system
  • filter element replacement
  • checking operating parameters and controls

The system design allows easy service access and long service intervals, reducing downtime and maintenance effort.

How does the DRYPOINT ACM differ from refrigeration dryers?

Refrigeration dryers typically achieve pressure dew points around +3 °C, which is sufficient for many standard applications. The DRYPOINT ACM adsorption dryer reaches much lower dew points, making it suitable for applications that require very dry compressed air or operate in low-temperature environments.
