Influence of F-Gas regulation on refrigerant dryers

Climate change is a predominant topic in politics, affecting the entire population of our planet.  The F-Gas regulation was adopted by the European Union (EU), with the aim to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases.

Due to the ban of the refrigerant R404a from 2020, as well as the ban of refrigeration plants with a refrigerant charge of more than 40 CO2 equivalent tons, the European compressed air market is forced to deal with this issue.

On 1 January 2020, the next phase will begin with the prohibition of new stationary refrigeration systems and restrictions on the operation of older systems. For operators of refrigeration systems, this will have consequences and often also uncertainties. With the document below, we provide you with a quick overview of the F-Gas regulation and the influences on our DRYPOINT R segment.
